What is Raiz Home Ownership?

Borrowing to buy a home is not simple, especially when it is your first time.
Raiz Home Ownership has been set up to help Raiz Users buy their home. This means we educate you on the process and help you obtain finance to purchase your home.

We provide a mortgage broking service. A qualified Raiz Home Specialist will guide you through the maze of mortgage products from up to 50 banks and lenders.

The Raiz Home Specialist will also assist you in receiving the incentives available for first home buyers, which can be more complicated than the loan itself.

What type of financing can Raiz Home Ownership do?

We can help with loans for your first home, refinancing of existing residential debt or anything else you ask. The team of Raiz Home Specialists all hail from the big banks with the aim to do it better and give more choice. They have retail banking, private banking and business banking experience. Our main focus reflects our customers, which is home buying. But yes, we have the experience to assist you, so just ask us!

Is there a minimum amount I can borrow?

Yes, the minimum amount is $300,000.

Are the home loans “Raiz’s loans” or are they from a range of banks or lenders?
Raiz is not offering its own loans at this point. They are loans written from up to 50 different lenders (see the point below). But stay tuned. We never sleep at Raiz 😊 and we are always looking at ways to do things better than the big institutions.

What lending institutions do you offer, and can I choose which one?

All the major bank and many other lenders are represented on our platform. Each Home Specialist is independently accredited and can ensure that you work with the brands you feel more comfortable. They will be able to have a conversation to discuss which brands are available.

Am I guaranteed to get a loan?

Unfortunately, no. Home loans are subject to approval from the lending institution and Raiz Home Ownership can make no warranties as to the success of an application.

Can you assist with the government grants?

Yes. When you are ready to commit to your home, a Raiz Home Specialist will be able to help you understand what is available for First Home Buyers grants for Duty and other incentives available.

Can I get a loan if I don’t live in the city?

Yes, recent developments have meant that we can meet you via Zoom or Teams anywhere in Australia. Though when possible we will be happy to come out and meet you face to face. We pride ourselves on our service, so don’t hesitate to let us know what is important to you.

Does it cost me extra to use Raiz Home Ownership to get a loan?

No, the lenders pay Raiz to do the upfront work on their behalf, and we rebate some of what they pay us to you as the upfront Raiz Reward.
