For a rough rule of thumb, it is estimated 10-15 trees will sequester 1 tonne of carbon over 30 years.<\/p>\n

The trees, which are native to the region, will be planted in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor, located in Western Australia.<\/p>\n
To do this we have partnered with Carbon Neutral, who by revegetating degraded farmlands,\u00a0 plan to eventually link small patches of remaining vegetation and 12 nature reserves to create a green corridor, a\u00a0200km long stretch of trees that will reconnect coastal and drier inland habitats.<\/p>\n
So far, Carbon Neutral have planted 440,000 trees, restoring more than 300ha of cleared land.<\/p>\n
